2024, 11th international Logistics congress

From March 27 to 29, 2024, the 11th International Logistics Congress of the Supply Chain in Science and Practice was held in the Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portorož, organized by the Slovenian Logistics Association SLA, which brought together 600 participants from 20 countries in one place. As part of the program, 41 lecturers and experts presented examples of best practices, and once again successfully connected stakeholders from the field of logistics, transportation, manufacturing companies, providers of information and technological solutions, representatives of education and the state, which is also the goal of the congress. The greatest emphasis was placed on the regional presence and its impact on the efficiency of supply chains.

2023, 10th international Logistics congress

From April 5 to 7, 2023, the jubilee 10th International Logistics Congress of the Supply Chain Management in Science and Practice took place in Portorož, which was a record one in all aspects. It brought together 480 participants from more than 15 countries. The focus of the congress was green transformation, and the red thread remains robotization and automation in logistics, transport and production. In the framework of 5 panels, the congress presented the area of ​​comprehensive green transformation, the role of connecting northern Adriatic ports into the “NAPA” community, robotization and automation in production and logistics, good practices of energy management in companies, and optimization and digitization in transport.

2022, 9th international Logistics congress

The 9th International Logistics Congress – Supply Chains in Science and Practice took place in Portorož from April 6 to 8, 2022, which brought together as many as 330 stakeholders from 139 companies in one place, including representatives of logistics, transportation, production, information and technological solutions, education and the state. The congress, whose red thread is always digitization, robotization and automation, placed the greatest emphasis on connecting all stakeholders in the process, and the importance of logistics in the turbulent times of the covid19 epidemic and the situation in Ukraine. Additionally, he discussed the construction of logistics centers, rail logistics and general technological modernization, this time with an emphasis on drones.

2021, 8th international Logistics congress

Thermana Laško is from 15. until September 17, 2021, the 8th International Logistics Congress – supply chains in science and practice/EUROLOG 2021 was already held. This year, 288 listeners from 130 different companies from 12 countries attended the congress. most of course from the fields of logistics, industry and transport.

After completing her Master’s degree in Physics, she worked at Fotona d.d. in the field of global marketing of medical lasers and development of their applications, while also completing a Master’s degree in Management and Organisation at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana. After that, she managed the International Cooperation Department at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, which organised numerous activities and consultancies to support Slovenian companies in reaching new markets. Melita Rozman Dacar, M.A., is Director of Slovenian Railways – Freight Transport with 30 years of experience in rail logistics. Since 2013, she has successfully managed Slovenian Railways – Tovorni promet, one of the leading regional railway operators. She also serves as Chair of the Transport Management Committee of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and as a member of the Management Committee of the Managers’ Section of the Managers’ Association. She regularly participates in various high-level business events in the region. She enjoys passing on her knowledge of all aspects of logistics, especially to promising young people. She is particularly focused on mentoring young female managers, especially in the field of logistics. In 2014, the Managers’ Association awarded her the Artemida Prize, which recognises leading female managers and honours their role in creating added value in the company they manage.

Dr. Luka Bradeško is the CEO and the founder of Solvesall d.o.o., and a researcher at Institute »Jožef Stefan«, Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, managing projects on mobility and logistics.He obtained his PhD at Jožef Stefan International Postgraduate School, Ljubljana Slovenia with the topic of Knowledge Acquisition through Natural Language Conversation and Crowdsourcing. From 2008 to 2013 he worked as a principal software engineer for Cycorp Europe, which was at the time an EU branch of the American AI company Cyc Inc. From 2017 to 2019 he worked as a senior research engineer at Bloomberg L.P. in New York. In 2019 he returned to Slovenia, to lead the company Solvesall, which is building products and helping other companies apply AI to the fields of mobility, logistics, and leisure (caravanning).
