Programme of the Logistics Congress 2024
The Logistics Congress of 2024 focused on integrated logistics services and their upgrade with artificial intelligence, efficient implementation of MES systems inproduction, and improving production supply. The Congress has been discussing digitalisation, automation, and robotics in logistics, production logistics, and transport for many years, and now we took it a step further by including artificial intelligence. The greatest emphasis was be placed on regional presence and its impact on the efficiency of supply chains.

Unlocking the Future: Prioritizing Shorter, Greener, or Smarter Supply Chains?
How can we achieve greater efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability in supply chains simultaneously? This necessitates the adoption of new business models, as current revenue models often result in significant inefficiencies. How can this transition be accomplished? Existing cases illustrate the advantages for all stakeholders involved.

Digitizing international business: CargoX and Usyncro
Switching from paper to electronic versions of commercial documents offers enormous time and cost savings while improving security and transparency. Digitization in logistics is a growing market in which there are already several platforms and solutions that do not interact with each other. With the announced interoperability of CargoX and Usyncro, their platforms will enable direct cross-platform submission of documents. For example, a Usyncro user exporting to Egypt will be able to complete an ACI process via the CargoX platform without leaving the Usyncro user interface.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN LOGISTICS SERVICES
The logistics process begins with a demand, followed by ordering of goods, collecting them from the customer, supplying for production, internal movements, collecting finished goods from the warehouse, and finally shipping to the customer. The entire process is efficient, with minimal movements, complete transparency and guaranteed traceability.
Where can a third-party logistics provider be utilized? How can outsourcing logistics reduce overall logistics costs? What does a complete logistics service include?
- 15.50–16.20
Doubling the Efficiency of the Fulfillment Center with a Real-time Routing Using AI
- 🇸🇮 Dejan Petelin, Co-founder
- Pareto d.o.o.
At Gousto, when the distribution center was launched, they had a lot of efficiency challenges, as many processes were adapted for “standard” distribution centers, which are basically a little easier to manage. By using several artificial intelligence algorithms, we managed to double the efficiency of the distribution center, which effectively increased the net operating margin and at the same time enabled the rapid growth of the company. At the lecture, we will look at what challenges we encountered and how we solved them using artificial intelligence, from inventory optimization to real-time routing and managing and coordinating several centers at the same time.
- 16.20–16.50
Use of Artificial Intelligence in Container Scheduling to Increase Productivity (Best Practice Case)
- 🇸🇮 Rok Grdina, IT architect
- Luka Koper d.d.
- 🇸🇮 dr. Luka Bradeško, CEO
- Solvesall d.o.o
We will describe how we used artificial intelligence to improve the process of disposing of containers from the Port of Koper. With Artificial Intelligence, we solve the problem of lack of data at the time of the ship’s arrival, about the transport of the container from Port of Koper to the final destination.
The introduced system will enable more optimal placement of containers inside the Port and thereby reduce the amount of unproductive movements, which lowers costs and increases the flow of cargo in the Port.

LOGISTICS DEVELOPMENT IN THE REGION
In order to succeed globally, companies require global partners. Over time, some companies have expanded their operations within the region and can now offer comprehensive logistics services throughout the area.
How have they achieved this? How does establishing a regional presence help them to position their clients more competitively?
